Never mind the myths, who were the people of the nineteenth century?

This is my first video post. I’m testing the waters for both video and audio. I’d love to get opinions in the comments concerning your preference for written, audio or video posts. Also, do you have a favorite streaming service?

This video concerns some items I own from the nineteenth century. A lot of history can be discerned from what people owned in their time. I don’t just examine WHAT they owned, but WHY did they own it? Finding answers to those questions can tell us things that history books don’t tell us.

However, this video is not action-packed. It is about five individual items, and you needn’t look at them for the entire time. If you prefer, look at the photos below (and above), and then you can just listen to the video.
