I'm sorry, but this post contains no audio. There is a link to a post in Verge, which also does not have audio. As far as I know, you can run a written post through various software that will read it for you. But I'm no expert on it.
I just mentioned that because most other posts enable the audio play button. I don’t know How that works ok your side in terms of enebling the reader bot. For me, as a customer, I queue up a bunch of stories and listen as I walk or travel about my day. And being able to listen while doing something else dramatically increases the number of posts I can cover a day. Even when I do sit and read some, playing at 1.5 or 2x speed, keeps the pace of the day quick. I urge you to turn on the audio for every post, regardless of any other considerations.
This isn’t a podcast. On the top right corner of the article are three icons. The triangle is the play button. Do you turn that on, on your side? Some are greyed out. Most articles play when that button is pushed, maybe 95% of what I see.
Thanks for getting back to me. I've just found out that text to speech on Substack is in Beta. I've requested to be included in the trial. They'll let me know. I randomly checked other Substacks, and could find none with the feature. Could you give me a specific site to check out? I'd appreciate it.
I follow 60 Substacks. And frankly, about every one has the text to voice. Please look at my profile.
Text to voice may be a special privilege from Substack admin. And it is true that sometimes it takes a few minutes for a new post to finish processing, so they may hold back on giving it out to everyone. But it is valuable, fight for it. Your reach will grow faster with it!
The audio is not working on this article for me. Did you turn it on? How does that work?

I understand. I'll eventually do some "live" podcasts.
Could you give some other sites that do what you're talking about? I'd like to visit them and get a better idea of what the options are.
Thanks
