The establishment is powerful and usually owns their daily newspaper so it wins every time. That's what's happening here in the UK anyway.
But it's worth noting that we can all talk to each other, as we're doing now. Major media can't control the narrative like they used to twenty years ago. I find it appalling that there are still people who trust major media. I think it's because there are people who want simple answers, so they don't have to think, ponder and stress. They want an 'establishment' to tell them who to like and who to hate. They never ask why. That would require them to think and analyze.
