“Let’s start at the beginning. Healthy relationships are a two-way street. Both people can express opinions and desires.  Compromises are made both ways.  One partner may predominate, or not.  As long as the cards are on the table and there is no manipulation, then things should work out.”

Great post. I find that I see things clearly when I have no loyalty to any political party. Seeing through all the manipulation and propaganda is often uncomfortable, upsetting and painful…but it is reality. Facts. Truth. Reality. That’s what I strive for. I think most people will do almost anything to avoid being uncomfortable, or to experience unpleasantness.

Well said. Many people feel uncomfortable with uncertainty. So, they pick a side and stick with it, no matter what. That's not just our opinion, psychological studies repeatedly show that this is true.
